CHRISTMAS AT HARRINGTON'S by Melody Carlson - BOOK REVIEW

Are you ready for a break from all the Christmas preparations? Then grab a cup of hot cocoa and curl up with Melody Carlson's latest Christmas novella, "Christmas at Harrington's". From its gorgeous cover to its satisfying conclusion, this book is sure to become a classic. The characters are endearing, and the story develops the themes of love, redemption, and forgiveness. This was a quick read, leaving me longing for more. Melody Carlson has interwoven so many themes in 167 pages. We can all relate to the characters at some level. For those new to Melody's writing, this book is a wonderful introduction. To those readers already well-acquainted with the writings of this prolific author, this story will not disappoint.

From the back cover: Sometimes the best gift is a second chance. Christmas is approaching, and Lena Markham finds herself penniless, friendless, and nearly hopeless. She is trying to restart her life, but job opportunities are practically nonexistent. When a secondhand red coat unexpectedly lands her a job as Mrs. Santa at a department store, Lena finally thinks her luck is changing. But can she keep her past a secret?
Reading Christmas at Harrington's, a story full of redemption and true holiday spirit, will be your newest tradition.
